Free Online AES Encrypt / Decrypt
Symmetric encryption using AES-GCM, AES-CBC, or AES-CTR with 128/192/256-bit keys. Entirely client-side.
Password is used with PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations) to derive the encryption key.
What is AES Encryption?
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is a symmetric encryption algorithm adopted by the U.S. government and used worldwide. It encrypts and decrypts data using the same key, making it fast and efficient for bulk data encryption.
This tool uses PBKDF2 with 100,000 iterations to derive a strong encryption key from your password, combined with a random salt and IV for each encryption. This means the same plaintext encrypted twice will produce different ciphertexts.
Supported Modes
AES-GCM (Recommended)
Authenticated encryption with integrity check. Detects tampering automatically.
AES-CBC
Classic block cipher mode. Widely compatible with other systems and libraries.
AES-CTR
Stream cipher mode. Efficient for streaming data and parallel processing.
128/192/256-bit Keys
Choose your security level. 256-bit provides the strongest protection.
