1. About This Policy
This policy governs your use of SkyShare, the URL shortening and link analytics service operated by SkyBrance Tech Private Limited("we", "us", "our"). It describes what data SkyShare processes, how short links and click analytics work, the rules for using the service, and the rights you have.
This is a product-specific policy. It supplements - and does not replace - oursite-wide Privacy Policyand Terms & Conditions. Where a conflict exists, the terms most protective of end-user privacy apply.

2. The Service
SkyShare lets you create branded short links and understand how they perform. Core features include:
Custom short links & aliases
Create memorable, branded short URLs with your own custom alias.
Real-time click analytics
Click totals, locations, devices, browsers, OS, and referrers.
Expiry & access controls
Set expiry date/time, secondary links, and password protection.
Safety checks
Bot filtration and suspicious-link detection on destinations.
Collaboration
Add editors and viewers, or transfer link ownership.
API, SDK & export
Integrate via API/NodeJS SDK and export your link data.
3. Data We Collect
From Link Creators (You)
- Account data: name, email, mobile number, profile photo.
- Destination URLs: the long URLs you shorten and any alias, title, description, or preview image you set.
- Link settings: expiry rules, password protection, secondary links, collaborators.
- Billing data: billing address and payment references (processed by Razorpay/PayPal).
From Link Visitors (End Users)
- User-agent: device type, browser, and operating system.
- Approximate geolocation: country/city derived from IP in real time.
- Referrer: the source that led to the click (social, search, etc.).
- Timestamp: when the click occurred.
4. Click & Link Analytics
When someone opens a SkyShare short link, they are redirected to the destination URL and the click is recorded for analytics shown to the link creator.
- IP addresses are processed in real time for geolocation. We do not store full, unmasked IP addresses.
- Analytics are aggregated and provided only to the creator of the link and their authorized collaborators.
- Bot and automated traffic may be filtered so reported click counts reflect genuine engagement.
We do not sell end-user data and do not use click analytics to build advertising profiles of link visitors.

Screen destination URLs and detect abuse, spam, or malicious links.

Send transactional messages, security alerts, and account notices.
6. Security & Storage
Where Data Lives
- Primary database: MongoDB Atlas, Mumbai (India) region.
- File storage: Cloudflare storage for uploaded assets and previews.
Safeguards
- Encryption: passwords hashed; data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Access control: link data is scoped to owners and authorized collaborators.
- Minimization: we avoid storing raw identifiers such as full IP addresses.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SkyShare to create, shorten, or distribute links to:
- Malware, phishing, scams, or other malicious or deceptive content.
- Illegal content, or material that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Spam, cloaking, or misleading redirects that hide the true destination.
- Artificially inflating click counts or abusing the analytics system.
We may disable links, suspend accounts, or remove content that violates this policy, with or without notice where required for safety.
9. Terms of Service
- Eligibility: you must be able to form a binding contract and comply with applicable laws.
- Your responsibility: you are responsible for the destinations you link to and for any content behind your short links.
- Availability: the service is provided on an "as available" basis; features and limits may change with plans.
- Plans & limits: link creation quotas and features depend on your subscription tier.
- Termination: either party may end use of the service; abusive use may lead to immediate suspension.
- Liability: to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from link destinations controlled by you.
10. Data Retention
- Links & analytics: retained while your account is active and the link exists.
- Expired links: resolve according to your expiry settings and may be purged thereafter.
- On deletion: deleting a link or account removes associated analytics, subject to legal and billing record requirements.
- Backups: residual copies in backups are removed on our regular rotation cycle.
